Certifications

All products offered by l’Herbier du Diois are from certified organic farming Ecocert. Some have in addition specific certifications (Biosuisse, JAS, NOP, etc.) according to the production methods employed and the specification applied. These certifications ensure compliance with organic production through the plant controls, from the field to the finished product, through all the processing stages. Sharp lab analyses also allow verifying the absence of pesticides.

ECOCERT is a company approved by the government which controls and certifies. It works on the ground, unexpectedly or programmed, to ensure compliance with standards specific to organic farming.

EU Organic logo. Here is a new European label that allows professionals to identify their products that meet the specifications of organic farms.

BIO SUISSE is the Swiss organisation of organic farming. Companies certified Bio SUISSE must meet a specification appropriate to this label which today is really trusted buy consumers.

USDA - NOP required to export organic products to the North American market, this labelling program has its own specification plus the European organic specification.

JAS  (Japanese Agricultural Standard) corresponds to all the Japanese agricultural standards in addition to the specification of organic production, the detailed description of the various manipulations and transformations of each product. L’Herbier du Diois is the first company in the sector to obtain this certification.

DEMETER is the brand that allows you to recognize organic products from bio-dynamic agriculture, a farming method based on the respect of rhythms of nature and the ground in particular.

FLO (Fairtrade Labelling Organisations international) is an international association which established the standards of fair agriculture and certifies producers and importers wishing to begin via this label. FLO labelled products including Max Havelard products meet a particular specification, ensuring a fair income for farmers in Southern countries, allowing them to work in a sustainable manner.

Bio-solidaire to distinguish organic agriculture products and ensure fair trade with small Northern producers. Its objectives: sustainable partnerships between farmers and companies, long-term commitments.
